The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) requested NACTE to coordinate applications for admission for Certificate and Diploma in Teacher Education to be offered by public Teachers Colleges. The Ministry set and issued entry requirement for Teacher Education programmes to guide admission of students both in public and private Teachers’Colleges for a given academic year.
The Programmes for Diploma in Secondary Education included Social Science and Languages, Domestic Science, Business Education, Mathematics and Science, Technical Education, Physical Education,Special Needs Education, Agriculture and Fine Art. The Teacher Education programmes for Certificate level were Grade IIIA in Primary Education,Early Childhood Education, Physical Education and Certificate in Special Needs Education.
